Here is the first new plane of 2010!
Jay maidened this E-Flite Taylorcraft bright and early this cold Thursday morning at the new SSF Field in East Bradenton, Florida! The maidened was made without issue and minimum trims needed.
John M. and I went to a Warbirds flyin at the Charlotte County Airport on the 24th of January.
We got a chance to sit in a cockpit of a T-28 Trojan.
John looks very happy in the Trojan!
Here is my latest treasure! It is called a Nieuport XI a.k.a. Bebe (Baby) because of it's small size. It was a favorite of Lafayette Escadrille 48 in 1915. This plane is finished in the colors of Lt. Armand de Turenne's Nieuport # 1344. The family coat of arms is on the fuselage.
John M. has a new P-47 Thunderbolt. This baby is sold by Hobby Lobby and has flaps and retracts for a very attractive price. This is one nice flying plane! Yea, John!!!
WWI planes flew by Jay, Ren, and myself had a dawn patrol one early morning not long ago. Ren's Red Fokker was placed in the image twice for more interest. My plane is the Spad and Jay had the SE-5.
Original photo by John Mendicino.
Ren flew his F-86 jet beautifully before he left for a while. The plane is a large foam model with retracts. It is a Fly Fly model.
Jay flew this beautiful AT-6 Texan by E-Flite today. It sure was a beautiful sight!
